Blackout Studios brings professional audio production directly to New England musicians.
Based in Bangor, Maine, I eliminate brick-and-mortar overhead so you get high tier tracking, mixing, and mastering without being priced out by a ticking clock. My flat rates and set time limits ensure that you know what you're paying for before you even pick up your guitar. Plus, optional montly payments make this more accessible for every budget.
On Location & Live Tracking
I record you in your rehearsal space, remote tracking venues, or capture multitrack audio live straight from your gig.
Off Grid & Battery Powered Capability
No sketchy venue wall outlets or ground hums, other than maybe your ungrounded guitar. I'm equipped with dedicated battery power. My rig can record anywhere, even in the middle of a field.
Venue Rentals & Session Support
Don’t have a rehearsal spot? Prefer a larger live room sound? I coordinate with vetted local venues, and can arrange photo/video crews and on-site catering to keep you dialed in.
No Gatekeeping

Vox Populi (Rock)
The guys at Vox Populi outdid themselves with these recordings, and brought some fantastic ideas to the table regarding instrumentation. It’s always a pleasure to work with such positive people who bring their A game to every session!

The Sky Remains (coming soon)
This track was recorded and performed by a very talented gentleman named Mike Jandreau, and it was an absolute pleasure to work on. During the mixing phase, Mike decided he’d like to completely re-record the entire track, add new lead guitar parts as well as vocal harmonies. Below is my favorite revision. Enjoy!
